Only a few weeks ago our Club suffered the heartbreaking loss of Avril, right on the cusp of the new season. It was a difficult time for everyone involved, but the Club Committee were determined to keep the Club running at the standard it has worked so hard to achieve. After weeks of preparation, plenty of nerves, and a lot of teamwork behind the scenes, we are delighted to say that Round 1 of the Club Championship at Magilligan MXPark was a complete success
We had an incredible 150 competitors make their way through the gates throughout the day β a fantastic turnout and a brilliant way to kick off the championship.
The rain stayed away, the paddock was buzzing, and it was clear everyone was delighted to be back racing. The atmosphere around the track was electric and it was great to see riders, families and supporters all coming together again.
A huge thank you to Philip and Joanne at Magilligan MX Park for the use of the track, and to Philip for keeping the commentary flowing all day and adding to the excitement. Also for sponsorship of Rider of the Day with TEN55 MX COACH
Our appreciation also goes to the flag marshals who stood watch at their posts and did a fantastic job keeping racing safe, and to NI Sports Medics Ltd for being on hand to deal with any incidents throughout the day.
A massive thank you as well to Motocross4u and Ronnie Beattie for their extremely generous sponsorship towards the prizes β your support is hugely appreciated.
And finally, thank you to all the families, supporters and volunteers who turned up, helped out and cheered on our talented riders. Events like this simply wouldnβt happen without you.
Now everyone has two weeks to get the bikes cleaned, vans repacked and gear ready, because we go again at Carnacally on 21st March!
If that was only Day 1, we cannot wait to see what the rest of the season has in store.
