The 2026 Return of the Ultra 4 King of Britain was a great success and greatly enjoyed by all in attendance.
The event headed to a new venue at Parkwood 4×4 Centre, Tong. A well established 4xx4 venue saw Ultra 4 cars for the first time and with some hard work in advance turned out to be an ideal venue, offering fast flowing sections, tricky, tight woodland areas and rock climbs, the circuit was a challenge for all of the classes.
The 4400 Unlimited class saw Team Gigglepin, Jim Marsden and James Ayre, hit the front on the first session posting 9 laps in the allotted 2 hour time limit, 1 ahead of Korpysa Motorsport, The Crazy Germans and Torque and Tread. Team Gigglepin carried on their winning ways in the second session, this time being matched by The Crazy Germans finishing just over 2 minutes adrift. Three teams completed 7 laps in the third hour and half session with Korpysa Motorsport and The Crazy Germans following Gigglepin home. It was all change in the final session with the ever improving Clarkes Racing taking the win on 9 laps in the two hours, one lap ahead of Gigglepin with Kirby Signs taking third with Korpysa and The crazies running in to issues. Overall top three were Gigglepin Racing (31 laps), Clarkes Racing (27 laps) and The Crazy Germans (27 laps).
