Hosted by Extreme Off Road Racing, The Rock Riot saw crews tackle two days of tough terrain, big challenges and plenty of proper off-road action across the Stock Modified, Unlimited and Hero classes.
The rocks were calling at Cowm Quarry on 12–13 September as Extreme Off Road Racing brought us The Rock Riot 2026 – a cracking weekend of 4×4 racing, big challenges and plenty of action!
With Stock Modified, Unlimited and Hero classes all getting stuck into the course, the weekend was all about putting both crews and machines to the test. Cowm certainly isn’t the sort of place that gives you an easy ride, and the competitors had plenty to deal with as they tackled the quarry’s rough and technical terrain.
As ever with extreme off-road racing, getting to the finish is an achievement in itself – but there could only be one winner in each class.

STOCK MODIFIED
It was #510 Joe Seymore-Smith and Tom Evans who came away with the Stock Modified win after a great weekend behind the wheel.
#41 Johnny Johnson and Tracey Johnson took a well-earned second place, with #666 Ryan Beresford and Jake Bates bringing it home in third to complete the podium.
🥇 1st – #510 Joe Seymore-Smith / Tom Evans

UNLIMITED
The Unlimited crews were certainly there to put on a show!
Taking the class victory were #009 Jamie Clarke and Chris Taylor, coming out on top of the Unlimited field.
Behind them, #146 Ty Boothroyd and Ed Webber secured second place, while #321 Key Dunlop and Sam Ahmed rounded off the podium in third.

HERO
Over in the Hero class, #503 Raymond Davidson and Reece McGough put together a winning weekend to take the top spot.
#499 Al Clarke and Zac Dambruskas finished second, with #1017 Karl Aukland and Reece Furlong taking third place and the final spot on the Hero podium.

🥈 2nd – #499 Al Clarke / Zac Dambruskas
🥉 3rd – #1017 Karl Aukland / Reece Furlong

A massive well done goes to everyone who competed over the weekend. Extreme off-road racing isn’t easy on the drivers, co-drivers or the machinery, and simply getting through everything Cowm can throw at you takes some doing.
Congratulations to all of our podium finishers and class winners!
We can’t wait to see what comes next!
