A huge month of racing saw our NORA CRS riders stepping up across national, club and international events—showcasing grit, speed and serious progression. From wildcard wins and hardfought podiums to comeback charges, holeshots and worldclass performances, the team delivered standout results at Brookthorpe, Landrake, Little Silver, Hawkstone Park, RHL Raceway, RL Raceway, Preston Docks and even the Sidecarcross GP in France. Whether battling through crashes, mechanical issues, brutal sand, new tracks or stacked classes, every rider showed the heart and determination that defines this programme—making April a month packed with podiums, progress and proper racer spirit.
4th and 5th April
Ronnie had a brilliant wildcard outing at Brookthorpe, showing real speed and resilience on his first year on the SW85. After a strong practice and a commanding lead in Race 1, a blown tyre dropped him to seventh, but he came back firing—winning Race 2 comfortably and then fighting through a crash in Race 3 to take another win. A 711 score gave him second overall, proving he had the pace for the top spot!
Freddie wrapped up Round 3 at Brookthorpe with Severn Valley showing real grit in a stacked 85 Big Wheel field. After a smooth P6 in practice, he opened the day with a strong ride to P5, backed it up with another consistent fifth in Race 2, and then dug deep in Race 3—launching from his best start of the day, crashing hard, riding with twisted bars, and still fighting back from last to P18 out of 36. That determination earned him 7th overall, proving his speed, his fight, and his refusal to quit.
Theo had a strong and eventful weekend at Brookthorpe, adapting quickly to the new layout and qualifying P7 despite losing his peak to a 250F roost. A last straight divebomb earned him P5 in Race 1, followed by a hardfought P7 in Race 2 after a close battle. Race 3 delivered the comeback of the day—after a poor start left him dead last, he charged through the pack to P5 while running the secondfastest laps on track. Finishing P4 overall and first 125cc made it a solid, confidence building weekend!
NORA CRS rider Brett Wilkinson opened his ACU British Sidecarcross Championship campaign in style at Culham, delivering a dominant performance built on winter training and sharp racecraft. After going second fastest in qualifying on a fast, choppy circuit, he and his passenger grabbed backtoback holeshots and controlled both motos from the front—managing a rearshock issue in Race 1 and still taking a comfortable win in Race 2. It was the perfect start to their British Championship season, and Brett credited his offseason work with NORA CRS for the strength and confidence he’s now carrying into the first World Championship round in France.

11th and 12th April
Fresh off a family holiday, Freddie headed straight to Landrake for a packed weekend with Southerly MXC and delivered two days of determined, hardfought racing. After a strong P3 in practice, he opened Day 1 with a holeshot and a gritty P3, followed by a solid P5 and another P3 after battling hard in Race 3. Day 2 brought rain, chaos and one of your best rides yet—another holeshot, huge pace and a tough moment on the ski jump that left him winded and sick in his helmet, yet he still pushed through for P4. He bounced back with a brilliant P2 in Race 2 and a smart, controlled P3 in the slippery final moto. Finishing 3rd overall capped off the weekend!

Theo put in a strong weekend at Landrake with Southerly MXC, adapting quickly to the track on the 125cc and delivering consistent, hardfought results across all six races. Despite tough starts, deep ruts, crashes and constant battles—especially with fellow 125 rider Cam Chapman— he kept pushing, scoring solid finishes in every moto and repeatedly fighting his way forward. With steady speed, smart racecraft and relentless determination, he wrapped up the weekend P4 overall and P2 in the 125s, a result to be proud of in such a fast, competitive group.
Ronnie returned to Little Silver with Corsham after more than a year away and made it count, putting in a dominant day’s riding ahead of your Nationals. Despite a wet, rutted start to practice, he settled in quickly and carried that confidence straight into the motos—grabbing the lead early in Race 1 and checking out with a 24second gap. He backed it up with a holeshot and a flagtoflag win in Race 2, then handled the dusty, windy conditions in Race 3 to take another convincing victory. Three wins, strong lap times, and great vibes catching up with familiar faces made it a standout weekend, and a solid marker for the season ahead.

18th and 19th April
Rafe Symons delivered a gritty, crowdpleasing performance at the legendary Hawkstone Park during Round 2 of the Plews British Masters, proving his speed and resilience on one of the toughest sand tracks in the country. After a chaotic qualifying left him only two flying laps, he still secured P14 and came alive once the gates dropped—charging to 9th in Race 1 after an early crash and powering to an impressive 5th in brutal, rain soaked conditions in Race 2. Day two brought more drama, with a strong comeback to 8th in Race 3 and a wild final moto where a “whiskey throttle” crash sent him to dead last before he stormed through the pack in full Hunter Mode, only to be halted by a last lap stall. Despite the heartbreak, Rafe’s pace, determination and fight earned him 13th overall and showed he’s a racer who never stops swinging.
Ronnie delivered a gutsy weekend at the Plews British Masters at Hawkstone Park, tackling one of the toughest sand tracks in the UK while battling nerves, mechanical issues and brutal conditions. After qualifying P13, he fought through a slippery concrete start to charge from 15th to a strong P3 in Race 1. Race 2 brought drama with a crash, twisted front end and a tough restart, leaving him angry but still inside the points. Day two was all heart: despite worsening gear problems and even a misfire up the big hill, Ronnie pushed through for P3 in Race 3 and an impressive P6 in Race 4—far higher than anyone expected with a bike that was fighting you every lap. Finishing 4th overall!

Ollie returned to Hawkstone Park for Round 2 of the Plews British Masters carrying nerves from a recent qualifying crash, and with the added challenge of racing the fast MXY2 group for the first time on the famous hill. A cautious qualifying put him 28th, but he rebuilt confidence through the motos—coming from almost last to 24th in Race 1, then showing stronger pace and midpack battles in Race 2 before a small tip over cost you places. Sunday brought another tough start, yet Ollie still pushed through to 27th despite struggling to find rhythm on the demanding sand. It wasn’t his strongest weekend, but it was valuable experience ahead of returning for the NORA92 British Cup, and he left focused, motivated, and grateful for the support of his sponsors!

Brett kicked off his Grand Prix season in style at CastelnaudeLévis in the south of France, tackling a hot, hardpack circuit filled with huge jumps and steep elevation. After going third fastest in timed qualifying, he made a last lap move in the qualifying race to secure a strong gate pick for Sunday. In the opening moto Brett held second from start to finish across nearly 40 minutes, then backed it up with an even bigger charge in Race 2—coming from seventh on lap one to take another impressive P2 and claim second overall. It was a brilliant start to your GP campaign and a clear sign that your winter work with NORA CRS is paying off in a big way.

25th and 26th April
Freddie tackled a brandnew venue at RHL Raceway for Round 5 of the Southerly MXC Championship and came away with a weekend full of fight and progress. After a slippery fall in practice, he regrouped quickly and carried that confidence into the motos—grabbing a holeshot and a strong P3 in Race 1, then charging to an impressive Race 2 win after taking the lead up the hill. Another holeshot in Race 3 put him in control again, and although a tough line choice late in the race cost him second, he still brought it home in P3. With determined riding, smart racecraft and nonstop effort, Freddie earned 3rd overall and left proud of how hard he worked!
Seb delivered a determined and wellearned overall win at RL Raceway for Round 5 of the Southerly MXC Championship, going 221 despite crashes, tough starts and plenty of work to do. After recovering from a firstrace collision to take P2, Seb charged from dead last to another second in Race 2 with the fastest laps on track, missing the win by just two seconds. Knowing the overall was on the line, you executed perfectly in Race 3—moving into the lead early, building a gap and riding clean to secure the moto win and the top step of the podium. Even if he wasn’t fully satisfied with his riding, his grit, speed and composure earned him the result.
Theo put in a strong, determined performance at RL Raceway for Round 5 of the Southerly MXC Championship, finishing P4 overall and P1 in the 125s on a track where passing was tough all day. After using a clear track in practice to his advantage, he fought through mistakes and midpack starts to climb to P4 in Race 1, then repeated the charge with another P4 in Race 2 after closing down the leaders late on. A better start in Race 3 set him up well, and even after a crash dropped him to P10, he battled back to P5 and secured the 125 class win. A gritty, consistent day in a stacked field!
Rafe Symons showed real grit at Preston Docks in Round 2 of the ACU MXGB British Championship, turning a demanding weekend into a hardearned 9th overall in the ultracompetitive 85 SW class. After qualifying 8th with a lap just four seconds off the leader, he fought back from a bogged start in Moto 1 to break into the top ten, then delivered a strong, controlled ride to 7th in Moto 2 as the track roughened. The final race brought chaos—a collision dropped him to 21st, but he charged through the pack with trademark determination before a late frontend tuck left him 18th. Despite the setbacks, his speed, racecraft and refusal to quit proved he’s a genuine contender in the championship fight.

Brett Wilkinson continued his dominant form at Round 2 of the ACU British Sidecarcross Championship at Ironworks, extending his and Joe Millard’s championship lead to 24 points. After setting the fastest qualifying time, the pair controlled the day with two comfortable race wins and the overall victory, marking a flawless performance on a demanding circuit. With momentum firmly on their side, they now look ahead to the next British round at Monster Mountain—and an intense run of four upcoming Grand Prix events, including the prestigious British GP at Canada Heights at the end of May.
