Nora Motorsport is a steadily expanding associate of Nora 92, one of a select 11 fully-fledged sanctioning bodies that look after motorsport organisers and issue RTA Exemption permits from across the spectrum of off-road disciplines.

The latest news is that the specialist permitting authority and licencing body has boosted its portfolio by signing the high-profile MX Nationals British Championship.

The MX Nationals is the UK’s largest motocross series and continues to build upon its impressive track record of running ‘a people’s championship’ suitable for riders of all abilities, from grass-roots right the way through to international-level Pros. It’s a championship built by racers for racers, and as such attracts the very best riders from around the UK and beyond.

The MX Nationals was introduced back in 2014. It now boasts the largest entry of riders across the sphere of the British motocross race scene with classes catering for SW/BW 85, MXY1 and 2, MX1 and MX2 Clubman, MX1 and MX2 Expert and the Pro MX1 and MX2 ‘Fastest 40’.

“Nora 92 has been around since erm … 1992,” said MD Roy Barton. “It’s a sanctioning body that has always looked after its members, rather than promoting itself. We have much to offer all forms of off-road motorsport, not just motocross but gymkhana, enduro, trials, quads, side-by-side and the growing 4×4 scene, which quite frankly is mad!

“I have worked with the MX Nationals team for many years and we know how to make things work for riders, clubs, track owners and so on. This is an exciting time for the championship and I’m confident Nora Motorsport can help it evolve.”

Commenting on the new partnership, MX Nationals Neil Irwin added; “It’s important that, for 2020, we build on the expansion programme we have already created. This is based on improving the spectator experience and making better use of MyLaps which is where the timing expertise of Nora Motorsport will step in.”

The stage is now set for the six round 2020 series with a good spread of dates and venues.

Round 1 – Fat Cat Moto Park, Doncaster – March 21st and 22nd
