Amped Bikes, one of the UK’s leading youth electric balance bike manufacturers, has partnered with Kent and Sussex-based Mecca-X to launch the Amped Mecca-X EV Championship for 2026.
The new six-round series provides a fun, inclusive and progressive platform for young riders to enter motorsport and develop from novice to competitive level. Focused on enjoyment, confidence and skill-building, the championship offers a clear pathway with classes tailored to age and ability.
Round One takes place on Saturday 11 April 2026 at Sellindge MX, Kent, alongside Round Three of the Mecca-X Club Championship. The series is open to all eligible electric balance bike brands.
Championship Classes
- Electric Balance 12 (ages 3–5) – 100–250W, 12” wheels
- Electric Balance 16 (ages 3–7) – 170–350W, 16” wheels
- Electric Balance 18 (ages 5–10) – 350–500W, 18” wheels
- Electric Balance 20 (ages 8–14) – 540–800W, 20” wheels
- Round 1 – 11 April – Sellindge MX
- Round 2 – 9 May
- Round 3 – 27 June
- Rounds 4, 5 & 6 – TBA
