Speedway launches the Nora 92 No Brakes League on Sunday 21st May when the Wightlink Warriors will take to the track at Sittingbourne to do battle with the home side, Plymouth and Cradley, with Warriors team manager Steve Piper expectantly looking forward to the competition ahead.
He said, “It’s so good to have the Wightlink Warriors back in a league competition and it’s one we will be going all-out to win. Our ‘Fab-Four’ for the opening round in Kent will be Ben Morley (pictured), Rhys Naylor, George Congreve and Aaron Butcher. They have all been in action in various meetings already this season so we shouldn’t need to blow away any winter cobwebs and get straight into the business of taking a victory in the meeting.
Having worked with all the riders before, I know they are all great lads and never-say-die racers which is all I can ask of them. We can’t wait to get a winning start under our belts to springboard us forward into our Smallbrook season which starts on 22 June.”
