The PCR-E Sur-Ron Factory Racing team have confirmed their participation in the forthcoming EXGB British Indoor Electric X championship, which begins at the Wheeldon Off-Road Centre in Devon on the 12th & 13th of November.

The all-electric off-road bike championship has classes for riders from 4 years of age up and also, at the opening rounds, incorporates the Revvi South West Super Cup for Electric Balance Bikes and riders as young as 3.

In the Adult ranks, International Enduro racer Sam Winterburn is the rider representing the PCR-E Sur-Ron Factory Racing Team. Sam will ride in the Open class on a Sur-Ron Storm Bee machine which he rode in Switzerland recently at the FIM E-Xplorer launch, where he raced against the likes of Robbie Maddison.

Now Sam will look to gain some National glory in the five-round indoor series, which sees rounds three and four return to the Wheeldon Off-Road Centre on the 25th & 26th of February 2023 and culminating in the series final at SX Worx in Sheffield on the 25th March 2023.

PCR-E Sur-Ron Factory Racing’s Ryan Palmer said of their involvement in the series, “It’s great to see the recent surge of interest in electric off-road motorcycles, and events like the EXGB British Electric X Indoor Championship are the perfect place to showcase the potential of the sport. For us as a team, this is a great opportunity to gather some much-needed data to take to the world stage as we prepare to take on the FIM E-Xplorer series in 2023. Sam is perhaps not known for his ability in motocross, having specialised in enduro and super enduro, but it’s where he started out, and he certainly has the potential to turn a few heads during this Championship. The Sur-Ron Storm is a very capable bike in both MX and enduro set up, so it will be great to see how it performs in this series.”

EXGB Race Director Paul Oughton said of the news, “Having Sam and the PCR-E Sur-Ron Factory Team race with us is great for the series. The guys at PCR-E team have a superb set-up and have shown their commitment to Electric Off-Road Racing in a big way by taking on the FIM E-Xplorer series, so we are very pleased to have them signed up to take part in our British Indoor EX Championship.”
