Ultra4 Europe – King of Poland – 9-11 Sep 2022 at Olszyna Motorpark, Poland.
This event will be a part of the Ultra 4 European Championship 2022
Held at the opposite side of Europe in a fantastic location, this event will challenge teams to the limit in terms of logistic planning and endurance. Probably the longest overall course length of the season over a variety of sandy forest trails, extreme wooded terrain and fast open and outright full speed terrain.
The format is split over 2 days racing:
Day 1 –
3x 3 hour sessions where each session is a heats based race – different classes race a short lap with a lap target of 3-4 laps – quickest time wins that heat -8km lap.
Then we turn the heat up on Race Session 2, rotate the course or add some terrain AND up the laps (10-12km) but keep the time the same over another 3 hour session. The final Saturday session will be the longest distance (18-20km), again a lap target of laps to complete, in a longer time. This will test crews, racing on fresh terrain, against the clock, fastest to complete the laps, wins the heat.
Sunday race is back to the King of the Hammers format of long lap distance, all out for distance – (20km) and quickest time wins.
Winch Class teams will also be tested, running the same race sessions, having a specific number of locations to visit whilst on the course which must be recorded using a camera provided. ALL locations must be achieved at least once for the bonus they offer to count before additional locations can be visited.
4600 and 4900 class vehicles will run the same terrain as main course with the exception of some of the extreme terrain.
The qualifying event on the Friday 09 Sep 2022 will be an opportunity for each Team to drive a short technical course as many times as they need to achieve the fastest time on that course to gain their best start position for main race day 1 – fastest team overall will start first on Race Day 1.
To thank our local partners on this event, all Teams will take part in a road trip to the local town on Friday 09 Sep 22 and spend a few hours showing our trucks and race cars to the local fans – a police escort to Olszyna and time with fans, before returning to the course to run Pre Running and then Qualifying. After Qualifying, we look forward to hosting teams at a Pig Roast at 2000hrs before the main race begins on Saturday.
