Sweet Lamb Adventure Bike Academy are excited to announce a series of 3 Big Bike friendly 2 day rallies in an Adventure Bike Championship. March, June, September 2022.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This will be open to multi-cylinder, big singles and trail bikes, while being rideable and challenging for all, but no ‘stoppers’ or extreme sections. This will be suitable for novices to experts with the emphasis on fun and bringing people into the rally sport, giving you an added challenge to your trail riding.

Arrival from 15:00 Friday – Depart by 18:00 Sunday
RULES & REGS: SUPPLIMENTARY INFORMATION
No MotoX Tyres.
Tyres must be road legal E-stamped, FIM, DOT. 50/50 Adventure tyres are minimum recommended.
No enduro or MotoX bikes.
No quads or sidecars.
Rally Class Bikes must have Roadbook & Tripmeter fitted to qualifyScrutneering: It is the responsibility of the rider to ensure their bike is in safe working order. Pay particular attention to brakes, suspension bushes/seals, throttle action, wheel bearings, brake lights, exhaust 98db, ball-ends on brake/clutch levers, folding footpegs.
COURSE
Friday afternoon participants will be able to walk or cycle around the course.A Prologue will be ridden first as an untimed sighting lap and does not count to results.Afterwards a series of 2 to 3 hour Challenge Heats will take place across the event.
Competitors will start at intervals by class and must complete as many laps as possible in the time available. Each Challenge Heat is optional and scores separately.Dusk Challenge is optional. Working front/rear lights essential. Head torch/lamp recommended.
Red LED cycle tail light must be attached to rear of your helmet or backpack
CLASSES
Classes will be defined by manufacturer stated Cubic Capacity CC, not panel stickers! Officials decision is final.
Only one class and one bike can be entered per event.
Rally-Bike: any bike fitted with electric Roadbook holder and tripmeter: eg Roadbook tower, bar-mounted set-up.
Trail bike up to 250: eg: Serrow, CRF250L, XR250,
Trail bike up to 450: eg: DR350, DRZ400, CRF300rally, CCM404, GP450, BMW310GS, Himalayan
Big Bike Single 500-650: eg XT600, DR650, XR600, BMW F650
Big Bike Single over 650: eg KTM690, Husky 701, XTZ660 Tenere
Twin-cylinder up to 650: eg Transalp, KLE500, CB500X
Twin-cylinder 650-800: eg Yamaha T7, KTM790, Africa Twin 750, BMW F800GS
Twin-cylinder 800-999: eg KTM890, 950, 990, BMW F850GS
Twin-cylinder over 1000: eg BMW 1100/1150/1200GS, KTM 1090/1190/1290

TIMING
Will be by transponder supplied and timed to nearest second.
Transponders MUST be returned to organiser at the end of the event. None returns are charged at £300
NUMBERS
Stick on numbers will be provided and must be fixed to the front headlamp cowl/fairing.
AWARDS
To win: ride as many laps as possible in the time available. Tied lap numbers will be decided by fastest lap time.
Each Challenge Heat is scored separately per class as follows:
1st 20pts, 2nd 17pts, 3rd 15pts, 4th 13pts, 5th 11pts, 6th 10pts, 7th 9pts, 8th 8pts, 9th 7pts, 10th 6pts.
These points will count towards the Overall Event winners across all Challenge Heats from the event.
Each class winner awill receive an award, this will be at the end of the weekend.
Each finisher will receive a finishers Medal.
CHAMPIONSHIP
There will be 3 rounds in March, June, September
To win the overall Championship – Enter all three events – Points from every Challenge Heat from each round will be added together to decide The Sweet Lamb Baja 2022 winner for each class. Results for each round and class will be published so competitors can see their cumulative championship points.
General:
Dogs/Pets are NOT allowed on site. Children to be supervised at all times.
Generators are only allowed between 7.30- 21.00. No pressure washers.
All re-fueling must be carried out in the pit area
All riding on the site must be done with helmet, gloves and boots. Riding will only take place in the Prologue and Challenge Heats. Full body armour is recommended.
Cancellations:
30 days before the event 90% refunded
10 to 30 days 50% refunded
less than 10 days no refund
Prices:
Rider Entry Fee per Event: £175 – this includes event licence, transponder hire & Saturday night BBQ .
Non-Rider Entry Fee per Event: £15 – this includes Saturday night BBQ + full use of facilities
Free onsite camping (tents / vans) to all paying attendees
Spectators:
Spectator tickets are £15 per head and include the Saturday night BBQ and full use of facilities
